      Very solidly built mount. Operates as depicted. My dash is more of a vee shape, with no flat surface to clamp to, but this thing still holds. I live in South Carolina and my internal truck temp is well over 100 degrees fahrenheit this summer and it's still holding firm. My old holder would loosen in these temps, but this one has been solid.

      So far this has been the only one that has survived all the bumps and potholes without being thrown out. Only downside to us was the side clamps after so long became week and bent out and snapped but just dont squeeze so hard and it should work. But the seller sent me another after that because i asked to buy just the phone holder without clamp and they just sent me whole thing. So overall perfect customer service and perfect product other that the side issue that i think can resolve by not squeezing so hard and my husbands case is a heavy bulky case but it still held.
