This was the first time I’d used an immersion blender, and I’m impressed by its efficiency and comparative quietness. I was a little surprised by the size; for some reason I thought the handle would be the size of a large wire whisk— but it’s a lot more substantial than that. It’s well-designed, though, so even if your hands are small and arthritic, it’s a comfortable-to-use kitchen gadget. I like the little pan-guard that was included, and the immersion blender is really great if you want to make a puréed or partially puréed soup.

I had an old Braun immersion blender that quit working, so I bought this Kitchen Aid blender. Its body and blades are all heavy duty metal. It’s very well made, easy to clean, has variable speeds and is corded. It even comes with a 3-cup blending container with lid and a protector for blending in pans. And it matches my red Kitchen Aid mixer!I use it every day for making meal replacement protein shakes. I look forward to many years of great service from this Kitchen Aid product!
