Kodiak Furniture Phoenix Futon with Linen Fabric Mattress in Barbados/Gray

This turned out to be a really pretty piece of furniture, the wood is gorgeous and the mattress looks like a nice quality and it sits comfortably - even though we have not slept on it yet.It fit my husband great, he is 6 foot and was very pleased with the overall size and design.When opening up the box, be careful - some of the hardware was loose in the box, but luckily it was all there.The really helpful thing was that we watched the video before attempting to assemble.The instructions are mostly pictures and several helpful tips were in the video, which helped take away questions and mistakes.We probably took about 1 hour to assemble and loved the end product and we didn't have any 'do overs' (again probably due to the video).We are extremely HAPPY Buyers, highly recommend this product.

I can testify that the mattress is very comfortable.My toddler has had stomach issues since he was 3 weeks old and I lost a lot of sleep trying to get him to sleep in his crib.Finally we moved and bought this futon and I started trying to get him to lay down with me so I could get some sleep (he was over a year old at this point and I was exhausted).My husband has to wake up at 4am so sleeping in a room together wouldn't work well with him getting ready as our son is a very light sleeper (another reason why I was so exhausted).Then our son started getting ear infections regularly which led to getting tubes and other infections/colds almost weekly.After sleeping on this futon for almost 2 years - I can say it has held up very well and is more comfortable to me than the $800 mattress in the bedroom.I will need to purchase another mattress due to my son pulling up the mattress protector at night and sleeping under it then peeing through his diaper. I just can't get the pee smell out unfortunately.The only bad thing about this was the assembly. There are youtube instructions, but at times even they were difficult to follow.We got it together obviously, however; it took 3 hours and taking some stuff apart and putting it back together again.I'd buy another, next time the one with drawers :)

Sturdy futon.Frame appears to be made with quality materials.Assembly was fairly easy.However, the color of the mattress was much more gray than what we were expecting.Returning it would be a hassle so I suppose we will just keep it but wish this would have been represented more accurately.The mattress is comfortable enough.
